The 2026 People’s Artist Competition Erika Tenney journey officially begins today at 10am, and I would truly appreciate your support as it gets underway.
This is one of those moments that feels both exciting and a little surreal. It is a chance to share my work on a larger stage, but more importantly, it is a chance to represent everything that has been built through this creative journey over time.

Being part of the 2026 People’s Artist Competition Erika Tenney experience is an incredible opportunity. It is not just about entering a competition—it is about showing what is possible when creativity is shared, practiced, and encouraged.
I truly could not do this without the community that has been part of my art journey. From the very beginning, your support, encouragement, and willingness to create alongside me have made all the difference. This moment reflects not just my work, but the collective energy of everyone who has been part of it along the way.
Why This Matters to Me
If you’ve followed along through Paint Pour Academy, YouTube, or social media, you know that art is more than just something I create—it’s something I truly enjoy sharing with others.
Over time, it has become less about the finished piece and more about the experience of creating, learning, and growing together. What started as me experimenting with paint has turned into something much more meaningful.
As I step into the 2026 People’s Artist Competition Erika Tenney journey, I’m reminded of how much this path has grown over time.
Paint pouring started as a creative outlet—a way to relax, try something new, and see what would happen on the canvas. There was no big plan in the beginning, just a curiosity to create.
But over time, it has grown into something much bigger:
- Teaching others and breaking techniques down in a way that feels approachable
- Building a creative community where people can share, learn, and encourage each other
- Helping people feel confident trying something new, even if they have never considered themselves “artistic” before
I have seen firsthand how powerful that can be. People go from unsure and hesitant to excited and proud of what they create. That transformation is what has made this journey so meaningful to me.
And that is what I carry with me into the 2026 People’s Artist Competition Erika Tenney experience.

Why I Entered This Competition
I entered because I believe in what art can do.
Being part of the 2026 People’s Artist Competition Erika Tenney experience is not just about competing—it is about representing what art can bring into people’s lives.
For me, art has always been more than the finished piece. It is the process, the experimentation, and the freedom to create something that did not exist before. It is also about the way it makes people feel—both while they are creating and when they see what they are capable of.
Art can:
- Help people relax and express themselves in a way that words sometimes cannot
- Encourage beginners to step outside their comfort zone and try something new
- Turn simple materials into something meaningful and personal
- Build confidence through creativity and small wins along the way
I have seen this happen over and over again through Paint Pour Academy. People who were hesitant to start begin creating pieces they are proud of. Others find a sense of calm and focus through the process. Some even discover a new passion they did not expect.
That is what I have been building with Paint Pour Academy—a space where creativity feels accessible, encouraging, and enjoyable.
Entering the 2026 People’s Artist Competition Erika Tenney felt like a natural next step, not just for me, but for everything this community represents.
