Inside the Studio: Artist Spotlight August 2025 Updates✨

Welcome to the very first edition of Inside the Studio: Artist Spotlight! 🎨
In the past, we’ve hosted monthly Artist Spotlight collaborations where everyone created around a shared theme. While that was a lot of fun, we realized it could sometimes feel like “one more project” on an already busy schedule. So, we’re trying something new — a more relaxed and flexible way for artists to share what they’re working on.
Each month, we’ll round up updates straight from our amazing art community:
- New projects you’re excited about
- Works in progress
- Behind-the-scenes peeks
- Event highlights
- Or even just a fun tip or story from your studio
Think of it as a creative newsletter — by artists, for artists — that gives us all a window into each other’s studios. 🖌️
So grab a cup of coffee (or paint water 😅) and enjoy this month’s Artist Spotlight updates. Let’s celebrate creativity in all its shapes and stages!

I’ve got a great tip on how to save money! We all know that paint is precious – and expensive. I use a “toothpaste tube squeezer” to get out every little bit of that precious paint from my tubes. It works great for both small tubes and large tubes!

So the Vietnam Memorial Traveling wall is coming to my hometown October 9th – 13, and Gribbs Gallery in the same town has put out a call for artwork by local artists for Patriotic themed artwork. The wall is a 3/5 scale replica of the original wall in DC and spans 300 feet end to end, and stands almost 6 feet tall. The wall honors over 58,000 names of the men and women of the armed forces who served , and lost their lives in Vietnam.
Fun Fact or Artist Tip: Always push outside your comfort zone!

This particular series of applications was done to resemble an Abalone shell.
Fun Fact or Artist Tip: My Glass Artist Tip Is:
If you want to ACCURATELY show your pieces -never show your glass vases or bowls wet, they will most likely not look anything like that by the time they’re fully dry !

It’s funny, I have been so busy with art markets that I am getting low on pieces of my art to sell. So, some days I just paint without recording and making a video. It seems like it’s those times that I paint some of my most favorite pieces. Like this one.
Also, I had to make more coasters and prepare for a couple of big events coming up in September and November. (We are taking October off, so far). And I had this heart already taped up and ready to be poured on. I love how it came out. I call it “My Burning Heart”. I love how it looks as if it is glowing from within.
Our last event was a pretty big one. We got close to selling out of magnets, bracelets, and coasters. It was also our scariest event to date. Overnight into the final day a storm hit, and many vendors lost everything, including their tents. We were one of the lucky ones, even though we were within inches of losing our tent, tables and walls from our neighbor’s tent landing right next to our tent. See attached picture of just how close we came to losing our tent.

Well, August has been a whirlwind of behind-the-scenes productivity! I created and finished an online course that I have been wanting to do for awhile now, The Ultimate Guide to Bubble-Free Resin. Resin is not an easy form of art to work with and it is expensive. I put this guide together to help artists learn more about resin and how to navigate the number one problem with all resin artists… BUBBLES!
I created this online course so that I could post it the beginning of August so that I can spend time with my All-Access Members and help answer their questions on our monthly zoom call. This call was fun and we shared bubble tips and techniques that work for us.
I also am almost finished with the online course I will be posting in September. I am still working with the title of the course but it involves everything the resin artist needs to know… almost like hidden secrets no one talks about. I am super excited to get this one completed and shared.
I have also been holding in-person classes, both private and at the Sunset Ride Vineyard in Sonoita, AZ. The classes have been fun, engaging and so many beautiful art pieces have been created!
Fun Fact or Artist Tip: Know your limits! Only take on what you can handle with your real life obligations.

We are thrilled to announce we have completed our biggest commission to date! This project was a true collaboration, both in design and execution.
Our canvas, a special 30×60 inch piece, required a joint effort from both of us, including the tricky task of tilting it just right to get the perfect flow. Adrian took the lead on the design and pouring process, while Cory was on hand to capture the moment with photography and provide support.
The commission was for two of our dearest friends and loyal collectors from New York City, George and Jim. They challenged us to create a large-scale piece with neutral colors but a touch of “pizzazz.” We are proud to say we met that challenge, and the final piece is a testament to what we can create together for our incredible clients.
Fun Fact or Artist Tip: We used about a gallon and a half of paint for this piece! Our canvases are thirsty, so we gave it plenty to drink.
